2 Layouts You’ll Love – Wild for Silly Safari

Today’s Paper Party Live features the playful Silly Safari stamp set and two fabulous layouts that are truly versatile. While I love the cheerful animals in this set, I also believe it’s important to show how a good layout can work with any stamps, inks, and papers you already have on hand. By simply swapping out the images or colors, you can take a single design and make it completely your own.

The first card is a bright and cheery thank-you design that is basically a SIP card—Stamps, Ink, and Paper—with just a touch of Linen Thread for added texture. The Granny Apple Green card base gives it such a fun pop of color, and the giraffe is perfect for showing off Stampin’ Blends coloring. This layout is simple, sweet, and ready to brighten anyone’s day, making it the kind of card you can reach for again and again.

I’m just as tickled with the alternate card – it’s so cheery with the Night of Navy, Cajun Craze and Balmy Blue circles from the Spotlight on Nature and Stylish Shapes die cuts. And the creamy Very Vanilla base isn’t one I use very often, so I found it so refreshing for this card. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

The second card features the cutest little monkey, paired with some fabulous Designer Series Paper that helps show off the die cut and punched image. I used Basic Beige for the card base, and it worked beautifully to balance the playful look of the patterned paper. Just like the first layout, this design is super easy to change up depending on the stamps and supplies you want to use. The variation of this card turned out so sweet—I can’t wait for you to try it for yourself.

The alternative for this one has a fun twist – I only used neutral colors and words on this card – no images at all! I’m absolutely in love with how it turned out! The words are all from the More Messages stamp set and I enjoyed using the coordinating die cut with it. The “I” is from the Alphabet Ala Mode die cuts.

For this month’s Paper Party Live, I provided all the make and take supplies for these cards to my qualifying August customers and my wonderful team members, along with a free copy of the PDF tutorial. The tutorial includes the two featured cards plus two bonus cards, so there’s plenty of inspiration packed inside. For those who weren’t part of the August group, the tutorial is also available in my online store if you’d like to grab it for yourself.

And don’t forget—qualifying September customer orders will receive the make and take supplies for October’s Paper Party Live projects. That means the fun keeps on going, month after month, with new layouts, techniques, and surprises waiting for you.

It was so much fun creating these cards and sharing them. Whether you use the Silly Safari set or swap in your own stamps and colors, I hope you’re inspired to try these layouts and make them your own.

I entered the Just Add Ink #769 online challenge for the Alternate card using neutrals and words; I entered the Freshly Made Sketches #704 online challenge for the sketch for the circles alternate card as well as the Color Throwdown #841 for the Night of Navy, Cajun Craze and Balmy Blue colors used on the circles card.
