I’m beyond excited to share this amazing card layout I recently discovered. It’s perfect for using up your scraps and, let me tell you, it creates a stunning card that’s both easy and quick to put together. Whether you’re using up leftover Designer Series Paper, cardstock, or scraps from other projects, this layout is so versatile—it works with nearly any papers and stamp sets!

For my first card using this layout, I started with an Old Olive card base for a nice, earthy feel. Then I took a 3 x 3 panel of Pool Party cardstock and adhered it to the lower left corner. To add a pop of cheerful color, I overlaid a 3 x 1-3/4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, placing it on the bottom right side, but I lifted it up with dimensionals to give the card a fun, elevated look.

Next, I matted a 1-3/4 x 4 piece of the Cute As Can Bee Designer Series Paper with a 2 x 4-1/4 piece of Bubble Bath cardstock, creating a soft yet bold contrast. I adhered the bottom half of this combination with regular adhesive and used dimensionals on the top half where it layered over the Daffodil Delight piece. The result was a beautiful, balanced design that gave the card a lovely structure.
The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White cardstock using the “The Right Words” stamp set.

I matted it with Daffodil Delight and adhered it at a slight angle on top of the DSP piece for a little extra flair.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the adorable little bee from the Meant to Bee stamp set, using Daffodil Delight and Black ink. The bee was smiling and had a sweet little flight trail behind it to add just the right touch of whimsy. To finish the card, I added three Holographic Resin Dots to give it that special touch of sparkle.
I also created the card using Timeless Plaid, Country Lace, Beautiful Gallery, Country Woods, and Woven Textures DSPs and coordinating cardstocks and stamped with the same sentiment from The Right Words stamp set.

I’ve also made a video tutorial where you can watch the entire process, so be sure to check it out!
I hope this layout inspires you to create your own versions with whatever scraps you have lying around. This was adapted from a CASE I did of cards from C. Stewart; I can see that this card layout is going to be my new go-to whenever I need to craft something quick and beautiful – AND I have lots of scrap pieces of cardstock and DSP around!
Happy crafting!
