A “Heart”y Hello!

The card I’m showcasing today has so much going on and I love every bit of it!

I wanted to create a Clean and Simple Card (CAS) to enter into the Simply Clean & Simple Challenge where they are celebrating their one-year anniversary – congrats, ladies! For a challenge blog, the one-year anniversary is quite a milestone. So exciting! They have an optional theme of using a heart on your creation you enter into their challenge.

I wanted to stay away from pretty much all white on this card though. As an alternative, starting off with a Basic Black base really helps to elevate this card and give it a touch of elegance in a subtle way.

I used another template that I have created and chose to use the colors that are in The Paper Players challenge of Black, Gray, Red, and White PP698.

While using the template, I decided to add texture with an embossing folder and then a sweet red heart as the focal point. The fun scripted “Hello” is perfect for most occasions of card giving.

I love a coordinating envelope, too. Such a fun card and so many uses for it! The inside has some sweet layers as well, and look so classy.

Here’s the video showing how to make this card, step-by-step for you. This is the second card being made in the video. There are chapters listed if you want to get right to it. Please give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel while you’re there. I appreciate your support so much!

Thanks for joining me today – and I hope you have a chance to get inky!

  1. I love the texture from the embossed panels and that fabulous, whimsical heart works beautifully to add movement to your card. So glad you shared this fabulous CAS card with us at The Paper Players this week
