There’s something so satisfying about finally getting to play with a stamp set you’ve been eyeing for a while, and today was that day for me with the Peaceful View stamp set. I’ve seen so many beautiful projects made with it and couldn’t wait to get inky with it myself. And wow—this set truly lives up to its name. The imagery is so serene and calm, and I instantly knew I wanted to create a quiet, moonlit scene.
I started by inking up that large silhouette image in Night of Navy and transferred it onto Basic White cardstock. I love that the image fills the card front—just one solid, beautiful stamp featuring a tree, a rustic fence, grasses, and a little bird perched quietly. To add a bit of dreamy atmosphere, I created a moon using Stampin’ Up!’s Masking Paper punched with a 2″ circle and lightly blended more Night of Navy ink around it using a Blending Brush. When the masking paper was removed, the image transformed into a peaceful nighttime view. It’s such a simple technique, but the result always feels magical!
For the sentiment, I used the Impressions Abloom stamp set and stamped “Thanks” for the outside of the card and “So Very Much” in the same Night of Navy ink to coordinate on the inside of the card. A touch of Misty Moonlight cardstock behind both the sentiment piece, the inside panel, and the stamped scene added just the right amount of contrast and polish to the design.
This is a true SIP card—just stamps, ink, and paper—but it feels anything but basic. It’s calm and reflective, and perfect for sending a heartfelt thank-you to anyone, whether guy or gal. I really enjoyed the process of making this card, and I can already tell the Peaceful View stamp set will become a favorite for those moments when I want to create something that feels grounded and tranquil.
