A Sweet and Versatile Card

Today, I’m sharing a beautiful card and I’ve fallen in love with how versatile this layout is! I can hardly believe how wonderfully this design came together.

I started with a Garden Green card base and built up the layers from there for added depth and interest. With a smaller panel of Garden Green for a tone-on-tone effect on this card, I added a bright pop of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, then a bit of Woven Textures DSP in a neutral shade to soften the contrast, and finally a small strip of Night of Navy cardstock to ground the design.

To bring in some texture, I wrapped a piece of Natural Tones Linen Thread in Garden Green around the layered panel before adhering it to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment piece was cut using the Linked Together dies from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the “So Happy For You” sentiment from the Linked Together stamp set in Night of Navy ink. Dimensionals provided just the right amount of lift to allow it to sit perfectly over the wrapped linen thread. To finish off the front of the card, I added a few Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots with the Take Your Pick tool, giving just the right amount of subtle shine.

Inside, I continued the design with a Basic White panel layered onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. A coordinating strip of the same Woven Textures DSP was adhered along the bottom for a cohesive look.

I’m entering this fun card into the Color Throwdown #829 challenge as well as the March Anything Goes challenge for A Cut Above.

This card is a fantastic option to send to a friend, whether it’s a guy or a gal, thanks to its balanced mix of colors and textures. I loved this layout so much that I created three additional versions using the Linked Together stamp set and dies, varying the cardstock colors and DSP choices for a fresh look each time.

I also filmed a video showcasing how this card came together. I’ve also listed the measurements for this layout and supplies used in the card in the video.

If you’re looking for a simple yet impactful layout that can be customized for any occasion, this design is a must-try! I hope you feel inspired to create your own version and enter it into a challenge or send it to someone special!

Happy stamping!
