Today I created a card using a layout that I absolutely love—and the best part is, it works with any patterned papers, inks, and stamps you have in your collection. It’s incredibly versatile and comes together so quickly, you’ll want to make a whole stack of them! I couldn’t wait to share it with my friends because it’s just that good. I got it from current Stampin’ Up! annual catalog where they have a whole variety of layouts available for CASEing (Copy And Share Everything)!

This card layout starts with your basic card base – I used Calypso Coral for mine. From there, I cut strips of Designer Series Paper into 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ and laid them down one after the other down the front of the card. For my first version, I used the beautiful Thoughtful Journey DSP. You can easily switch it up with any DSP you have on hand—it all looks fantastic in this design.

For the sentiment, I reached for the “I’m So Glad We’re Friends” stamp from the Mixed Labels stamp set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I cut it out using the Nested Essentials dies. You can also use your favorite punch or even scissors if that’s what you have available. I added a loop of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon behind the sentiment for a little soft shimmer, but you could absolutely skip the ribbon and go with gems, sequins, or adhesive-backed dots—anything you have that coordinates will work beautifully.

Inside the card, I added a panel of Basic White cardstock layered with a coordinating color to give plenty of room to write a heartfelt note to the recipient. The finished result is a cheerful and thoughtful card, perfect for sending a smile to someone special.

Because this layout came together so quickly, I made a few more cards using other Designer Series Papers—Country Woods, Mixed Media Florals, Nests of Winter, and Perennial Lavender. I just love how each one has its own personality while using the exact same design.

I filmed a video to show exactly how I made the card using this layout so you can craft right along with me.
And just for a bit of fun, I’ve entered my Perennial Lavender version into the Colorful Options April Challenge. I can’t wait to see what others share!

If you’re looking for a go-to layout that lets your patterned papers shine and comes together in minutes, give this one a try. I think you’ll fall in love with it just like I did.
Happy stamping!
