All the Leaves and All the Texture

Lovely Arrangements Cards – Paper Party Live

Today’s Paper Party Live is one of those creative gatherings that reminds me why I love what I do. There is something so energizing about going live on YouTube, crafting together, and seeing a card come to life step by step. During the month of February, and for this edition of Paper Party Live, I’m featuring the beautiful Lovely Arrangements Bundle and sharing two detailed, technique-filled cards that are truly special.

The first card begins with an Old Olive card base in a classic portrait orientation. A Basic White panel is die cut twice with the geometric pattern from the Lovely Arrangements dies, once at the top and once at the bottom, creating a delicate open design that frames the center beautifully. A circle frame is placed in the middle of the card front, and from there the magic really begins. Twenty-one die cut leaves in Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lime Twist, Mossy Meadow, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, and Old Olive are arranged in a lush wreath around the frame. The double leaves are adhered directly, while the single leaves are popped up with Mini Dimensionals to add depth and movement. The colors are intentionally mixed to keep the eye traveling around the circle.

A simple “Happy Birthday” stamped in Mossy Meadow sits right in the center, elevated slightly for dimension. Brushed Brass Butterflies add just the right touch of elegance and warmth. Inside, a coordinating Basic White panel is stamped with the triple leaf image in Old Olive for a polished finish. I CASEd this design from Su Mohr, and it is one of those cards that feels both intricate and completely achievable at the same time. It is the kind of card someone would display proudly.

This design was included in the Make & Take Kits I sent to my customers who placed a qualifying order in January, as well as to my team members. I loved being able to spoil them with all the papers and embellishments needed to create it. Along with the kit, they received a downloadable PDF tutorial that includes this project and a bonus card.

The bonus card is packed with texture and technique and was CASEd from Teri West. It begins with a Thick Basic White base paired with a deeply embossed panel created using the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder. Using thick cardstock helps that bold embossing hold its shape beautifully. A circle grid die cut from Secret Sea cardstock is layered with strips from the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper so that each circle is half solid and half patterned. This creates a striking geometric focal point with subtle contrast.

The floral element showcases a lovely emboss resist technique. The large flower is heat embossed in white, then softly blended with Fresh Freesia ink using a Sponge Dauber so the color is deeper in the center and lighter toward the edges. The excess ink is wiped away from the embossed lines, allowing the design to shine. The flower center is enhanced with a Light Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker for an extra pop of brightness. The triple leaf image in Mossy Meadow grounds the design, and a generous double bow of White Baker’s Twine adds softness and texture. A “Just a Note” sentiment overlaps the floral cluster, and Sparkle Dot Essentials in Fresh Freesia finish the card with a bit of shimmer.

Both of these cards highlight how powerful layering, texture, and simple techniques can be when thoughtfully combined. During the live, I walk through the first card step by step and then share the bonus card so you can see all the detail up close.

You can watch the full Paper Party Live below and craft along at your own pace.

If you would like the complete step-by-step tutorial for both cards, including measurements and detailed instructions, the downloadable PDF is available in my online store.

I am so grateful for this creative community and for the opportunity to share projects like these with you. Whether you joined me live or are catching the replay, I hope these Lovely Arrangements cards inspire you to pull out your dies, try a technique, and create something beautiful today.
