It’s always amazing how one layout can take on a whole new personality just by switching up the stamps, colors, and paper—and that’s exactly what we explored during this week’s Paper Party Live!

I walked through the step-by-step creation of a layered, landscape-style card using the Impressions Abloom stamp set and the stunning Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. The star of the show was a cheerful Strawberry Slush color palette, with coordinating gems and embossing that brought it all to life.

Starting with a Thick Basic White card base, the layout came together using strips of Floral Impressions DSP arranged with intention to create visual flow. Once the DSP pieces were placed with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (giving me just a bit of wiggle room for perfect placement), I added a bold panel of Strawberry Slush and layered an embossed Basic White panel on top—this one featuring the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder.

The sentiment “I Appreciate You” was stamped and snipped into a banner that tucks right across the top right of the card, slightly overlapping the DSP for added dimension. Inside the card, a clean layout of Basic White layered over Strawberry Slush keeps things bright and polished. A few gems placed around the sentiment added the perfect finishing sparkle.

And to make it even easier to create your own version of this card, I’ve put together a FREE PDF tutorial just for you.
To showcase just how flexible this layout is, I created two more cards with the same measurements and layout—but with completely different vibes.

The first alternative card features the adorable Silly Safari stamp set, paired with the playful Full of Life DSP and the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. I used all the colors from the current Sunday Stamps #363 color challenge—bright orange, vibrant blue, lush green—and colored the silly safari crew with Stampin’ Blends.

There’s a giraffe, a rhino, and a cheetah, along with tropical leaves to complete the jungle feel. The sentiment “Happy Birthday You Party Animal” fits the mood perfectly! This card didn’t need any extra embellishments—those colorful characters do all the work.

The final card in the trio embraces a bold and uplifting vibe with the Choose Happy stamp set and a splashy pattern from the Florals in Bloom DSP in oranges and yellows.

The sentiment reads “Choose Adventure” in Gorgeous Grape ink and pairs beautifully with the sailboard image—stamped, colored, and fussy cut to perfection. The card base is again Thick Basic White, with Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia making a strong color statement throughout.

I added a few of the Timid Tiger 2025–2027 In Color Flat Pearls around the sentiment banner to bring it all together. This card is my entry for the AAA Colourful Challenge Colourboard #17, and I’m thrilled that I used every single color (or as close as I could) in the challenge palette.

Each card tells a different story—heartfelt appreciation, wild birthday fun, or adventurous encouragement—all built from one fabulous foundation. If you haven’t tried playing around with a single layout in multiple ways, I highly recommend it. It’s a great creative stretch and an awesome way to make the most of your supplies.

Thanks so much to everyone who joined me for Paper Party Live. I love crafting together in real time and seeing how each of you puts your own twist on these ideas. If you missed the Live, don’t worry—you can still catch the replay and grab the free tutorial to craft along at your own pace.
There’s no Paper Party Live next week because I have an in-person stamping event. Until next time, keep creating—and remember, one great layout can lead to endless inspiration!
