Today’s project is a brand-new twist on a fun fold that’s sure to get you smiling — a Box Swing Fun Fold Card! I absolutely love how this design pops right off the table with its standing “box” front and dimensional flair. It looks complicated, but it’s really easy to create once you’ve made those few simple score lines.

The card begins with a bright, cheerful base of Azure Afternoon — such a happy blue that makes any project shine. The card base is scored multiple times to create that box front, and once everything is folded and burnished, the magic starts to happen. Inside the card, I added a crisp panel of Basic White to keep the look clean and give space for a written message. On the outside, I used two Basic White strips embossed with the Glass Embossing Folder from the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder Pack to add texture.

To form the standing front, I used strong adhesive to secure that final ½” scored section down to the inside of the card base. This creates the box structure that makes the design swing forward and stand beautifully on display.

The focal point is a lovely layered sentiment piece. I stamped “You Are So Appreciated” from the Label Me Grateful stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink on a panel of Basic White, then adhered it to a die-cut layer of Azure Afternoon from the Textured Notes dies. For a touch of pattern, I added a plaid Old Olive circle cut from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP using the Stylish Shapes dies. Then I topped it off with a delicate bunch of flowers in Pool Party and White, tied with a Real Red bow — die cut from that same DSP with the Christmas Greenery dies.

Everything is popped up with Dimensionals for added depth, and the finishing sparkle comes from a few blue sequins from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins pack. They add just the right shimmer to make this card feel festive and full of joy.

This design might look intricate, but it’s truly quick to make and gives that perfect “WOW” moment when opened. I’ve shared a full video tutorial for this project along with a downloadable PDF so you can recreate the Box Swing Fun Fold Card step by step.
