I’m excited to share a fun project I just completed for A Cherry On Top Challenge 392! This challenge focused on creating a scrapbook page based on a sketch, and I couldn’t wait to jump in and showcase some special memories from our recent trip to Michigan.
For this layout, I used the beautiful Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top of a 12 x 12 sheet of Pecan Pie Cardstock to set the tone for the page. The rich, woodsy patterns perfectly complemented the outdoor photos I took during our visit to Windmill Island in Holland, MI, on August 10, 2024.
To bring in some extra texture and dimension, I incorporated the Changing Leaves dies, which added just the right touch of seasonal flair to the page. The leaves pop against the DSP, creating a stunning focal point around the pictures. To tie everything together, I used the Love This Moment stamp set, which really resonates with how much fun we had exploring the beautiful windmills, gardens, and Dutch culture that Windmill Island is known for. I also did a bit of doodling to create the round image that you see in the bottom of the sketch. Love it!!
One of my favorite things about scrapbooking is how it allows me to relive the memories of our trips and adventures. Looking back at the photos from this trip brought me so much joy! I’m so happy to have this scrapbook page to reflect on, preserving this unforgettable moment from our Michigan trip this year.
I can’t wait to share it with the A Cherry On Top community gallery. Be sure to check out the challenge entries for inspiration!
What special memories are you currently scrapbooking? I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on lately!
Happy crafting,
