There’s something about vibrant colors that just lifts the spirit—especially on a gray and rainy spring day. I recently had a chance to play with some brand new, soon-to-be-released products, and I couldn’t wait to share this fun and cheerful thank you card I created!
The card starts with a Coastal Cabana base—such a refreshing color—and features a bold and playful layer of Strawberry Slush colored Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the upcoming Celebratory Sips DSP (165586) pack. This particular pattern is sprinkled with darker Strawberry Slush dots that almost dance across the paper. I positioned this layer just a bit above center on a portrait-oriented card base to give room for a little design magic.
Next, I grabbed a strip of another DSP pattern from the same Celebratory Sips pack—this one filled with large rainbow-colored rectangles separated by bright white lines. I cut the strip into three equal pieces and placed them across the first DSP layer, spacing them just slightly apart to let each vibrant block shine.
The sentiment is a warm and simple “Thank You” from the With You In Mind stamp set, stamped in Strawberry Slush ink (new in color 165286) onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I punched it out with the Modern Oval punch, then gave it a little extra flair by looping some white Baker’s Twine (from the Essentials pack) behind it. The sentiment was adhered to the bottom right portion of the first DSP layer, slightly overlapping those three colorful panels—just enough to tie the whole look together.
For a little sparkle and texture, I added a few of the lightest Shades of Green Hexagons (soon-to-be-released 165233) to the card front. They give a gentle shimmer without overwhelming the cheerful palette. Inside the card, I carried the color through with a Basic White panel framed by a Strawberry Slush mat. It’s the perfect spot to write a heartfelt note.
