There’s just something magical about taking black cardstock and white Designer Series Paper and breathing life into it with ink—and that’s exactly what this card is all about! Today I’m sharing a gorgeous variation of the Z-Fold card I featured in Paper Party Live, and this one’s all about rich color, floral texture, and friendship that lasts.

The star of the show? The Irresistible Designs Specialty DSP. With its raised, white-embossed patterns, this paper begs to be colored—and I had so much fun doing just that! I used Gorgeous Grape, Berry Burst, Petunia Pop, and Fresh Freesia inks with my Blending Brushes to transform two floral and two leafy panels into soft, glowing artwork. The result is a dreamy combination of hues that practically dances in the light.

The base of the card is Fresh Freesia, and inside, a panel of Basic White is matted with Basic Black, giving it that crisp, clean frame that makes the colors pop even more. Each of the four DSP panels—two flowers and two leaves—were blended before being added to the Z-Fold front, creating a stunning look from every angle.

For the sentiment, I chose “Forever Friends” from the More Messages stamp set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White cardstock. To add a little flair, I tucked a fun winding of Fresh Freesia Faux Velvet Ribbon behind the sentiment strip. And of course, no card is truly finished without a little sparkle—so I added three Two-Tone Sparkle Gems to the card front to catch the light and tie everything together.

This card is a celebration of color, texture, and friendship—and I’m so happy to share it with you. Want to recreate it yourself?
Let me know in the comments what colors you’d choose for your version—because with this gorgeous DSP, the possibilities are truly irresistible!
