Today, I’m thrilled to share a step-by-step tutorial for creating a stunning Colorful Butterfly Card. This card is perfect for any occasion and combines vibrant colors with elegant details. Let’s dive right in!
First, the card base is the new Basic Beige Cardstock cut to the standard card size and folded it in half. Next, is a Basic White layered onto a Basic Black and then wrapped with the Silver Sheer Ribbon and tied into a neat little knot. This adds a touch of elegance and texture to the card. Once the ribbon was in place, I adhered the entire panel to the card base.
The Labeled With Love Punch was used to create three labels from Basic White Cardstock punching out frames from the Labeled With Love stamp set stamped with Memento Black ink and adhered to the card with Dimensionals to give a nice lift and make the card more visually interesting.
Now for the fun part: the butterflies. the butterflies were stamped in black on some white cardstock and then colored in with Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist, and Fresh Freesia inks. These colors are bright, cheerful, and perfect for a butterfly theme. After a bit of fussy cutting, the little butterflies were adhered to the labels with Dimensionals, adding even more depth to the card.
“Just For You” was stamped for the sentiment and then cut out individually to be adhered under the butterflies with Dimensionals. This adds a sweet personal touch.
To finish off the card, Rainbow adhesive-backed Dots embellished the whole thing. These little touches of color bring everything together and add that final pop of color and fun.
The Labeled With Love stamp set is one I reach for over and over again. I enjoyed coloring the butterfly to create the sweetest birthday card with flowering embossing and show it off in this blog post.
