Hey crafty friends! Welcome back to another fun and creative journey. Today, I’m going to share with you a gorgeous birthday card using the fabulous Friends for Life stamp set. Trust me, this card is so easy and beautiful, even your cat could make it. But let’s not give them the satisfaction, shall we?
Alright, let’s get started. First things first, you’ll need a piece of thick Basic White cardstock. This will be our sturdy card base, ready to withstand all the love and admiration it’s going to receive. Cut it to your preferred card size and fold it in half. Use a bone folder to get that crisp crease—no one likes a wobbly card, right?
Next, grab a smaller piece of Basic White cardstock. This is where the magic happens. Stamp your ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment, along with the lovely leaf art piece. Now, don’t rush this part. Set it aside and let it relax for a bit.
While your masterpiece is drying, take that folded Basic White card base and adhere a layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock on top. This bold green is going to make your card pop. Make sure it’s centered nicely, unless you’re aiming for an abstract look—no judgment here!
Now that our sentiment and leaf art piece are dry and ready, it’s time to bring it all together. Adhere this piece onto the Shaded Spruce layer, making sure everything aligns perfectly. If you’re like me and precision isn’t always your best friend, just do your best. Remember, it’s the thought that counts, and a slightly crooked card is just charmingly homemade.
For a touch of sparkle (because who doesn’t love a bit of bling?), brush the leaves with Wink of Stella. This magical pen adds a subtle shimmer that will make your card shine brighter than a disco ball. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want a disco-themed birthday card?
Finally, it’s time for the pièce de résistance—the gems. Add three gems from the Faceted Gems Trio Pack to your card. These little beauties are like the cherry on top of a sundae, giving your card that extra bit of wow factor.
