Crafting a Stunning “Just For You” Card

Today, I’m excited to share a fun and beautiful card-making project with you: a “Just For You” card that’s perfect for any occasion. This card features a gorgeous combination of Basic Gray cardstock, Country Woods Designer Series Paper, and elements from the Labeled With Love stamp set. Let’s dive into the details of this delightful creation!

Starting with the basics, I used a piece of Basic Gray cardstock as the base. After cutting it to the usual size, I folded it in half to create the card base. For a little twist, I scored and folded back the front at 1-½ inches, giving the card a unique and engaging design.

Next, I took a piece of the lovely Country Woods Designer Series Paper and stamped some delicate butterflies from the Labeled With Love stamp set in Smoky Slate. This piece was then adhered to the card front, and the 1-½ inch section folded back over the DSP strip, securing it in place with adhesive. This adds a nice layered effect and a touch of dimension to the card.

To add a bit of sparkle and elegance, I wrapped a piece of Silver Sheer Ribbon around the card and tied it into a neat knot. This simple addition elevates the design and gives it a polished look. The label was created using Basic White cardstock, cut with the Labeled With Love Punch/Dies. I stamped the sentiment “Enjoy Today” in Smoky Slate and adhered it to the card over the ribbon using Dimensionals, adding another layer of depth.

For the butterflies, I wanted a vibrant pop of color. I stamped the butterfly outlines in Berry Burst ink, then stamped the fill-in images with the same color, but stamped off twice for a lighter shade. After fussy cutting these butterflies with my Paper Snips, I adhered them to the card using Dimensionals, creating a beautiful, layered look.

On the Basic White “inside” of the card, I stamped the sentiment “Just for You” in Berry Burst. This sentiment is a lovely touch that ties the whole card together. To finish off the design, I embellished the card with Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, adding a touch of whimsy and color. I did a fun birthday card using the Labeled With Love stamp set on a card you can see in this blog post.
