Cut that Pretty Paper! One Layout, Two Cards

Do you ever find yourself “saving” your Designer Series Paper because it’s just too pretty to cut? I’ve definitely been there. But friends, today’s your reminder that beautiful paper is meant to be used, shared, and enjoyed—and I’ve got just the layout to help you do exactly that.

This super simple layout turns one 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP into two quick and stunning cards. You’ll only have the tiniest scrap left over when you’re finished. Below I’ve linked my video where I walk you through each step to easily make the cards and there’s a downloadable PDF with all the measurements and cutting instructions to make it even easier listed below, too.

I started with the soft and peaceful patterns of the Floral Impressions DSP, pairing it with Old Olive, Early Espresso, and Basic White cardstock. A bit of Crumb Cake Essential Baker’s Twine adds the perfect neutral texture, and the sentiments come from the Simply Said stamp set. The designs are clean, cheerful, and such a beautiful way to send a message of encouragement or celebration.

But I didn’t stop there! This layout is so versatile that I had to try it with a few more favorite combinations. I created a set of cards using the Boho Vibes DSP with the Pattern of Friendship stamp set for a fun and relaxed vibe.

Then I reached for the Beautiful Gallery DSP and matched it with The Right Words stamp set—talk about effortless elegance! And finally, I circled back to the Floral Impressions paper and paired it this time with the Beautiful Motifs stamp set to see how the mood could change with a different sentiment and style. Spoiler alert: it worked like a charm.

Whether your stash is overflowing with patterned paper or you just picked up a new pack, this layout will help you get those pretty designs off the shelf and into someone’s hands. It’s a quick, no-fuss way to let your DSP shine while sending out a little love and creativity.

You can watch the full step-by-step video tutorial below, and don’t forget to grab the free PDF so you can craft along or recreate these cards later.

I’d love to know which paper or stamp set you’d try with this layout—leave me a comment or tag me in your creations. Let’s get cutting and get crafting!
