Doodle Art for Father’s Day Scrapbook Page

I recently created a special scrapbook page to celebrate Father’s Day, and I wanted to share how it came together in such a fun and unique way. The page was inspired by a color board that spoke to me with its many shades of blue, which felt like the perfect palette to capture the warmth and love of our family memories.

The layout began with something a little different – doodle art. I decided to sketch circles of varying sizes across the page. These circles became the foundation of my design, and I used blender pens in seven different shades of blue to bring them to life. Each circle became its own little piece of art, and I filled in the spaces between the circles with black, creating a striking contrast that added depth and dimension to the overall look.

To complement the hand-drawn elements, I pulled out a few of my favorite Designer Series Papers. Country Woods, Country Lace, and Nature’s Sweetness brought in soft patterns and textures, perfectly balancing the bold doodles. I worked these papers into the layout, arranging them in a way that framed the two photos of our family. The base of the layout is a 12 x 12 sheet of Night of Navy cardstock, which helped tie everything together and keep the focus on those beautiful blues.

What I love most about this page is how it feels like a blend of creativity and memory-making. The doodle circles are a playful nod to the joy we find in simple moments, while the shades of blue add a serene, comforting quality to the page. It came together quickly, but each element feels like it has its own special place in telling the story of our Father’s Day celebration.

This page is a perfect example of how blending artistic expression with heartfelt moments can create something truly meaningful. I’m excited to be entering it into the Lasting Memories Challenge #718, and I hope this scrapbook page inspires others to get creative with their own scrapbook layouts.
