Crafting often begins with a spark of inspiration, and for my latest project, the idea of creating a One Sheet Wonder card was at the heart of the process from the very start. I decided to use the harmonious balance of triadic colors on the color wheel to guide my design, choosing Pretty Peacock, Pecan Pie, and Berry Bliss as my palette.
These colors are rich, vibrant, and full of life, and I knew they would work beautifully together. To add a bold contrast and give the design a polished edge, I incorporated black accents between the colors.
Working on a 6×6 sheet of Basic White cardstock, I let the idea of the One Sheet Wonder shape my doodling. Each line and swirl was created with the intention of being transformed into unique sections for cards.
The process was both deliberate and creative, as I imagined how each part of the design would shine on its own while contributing to the overall harmony of the project. By the time the doodle was finished, it was a vibrant and dynamic piece of art that was ready to be cut and turned into something truly special.
With great care, I sliced the doodle into sections, each becoming the centerpiece for one of four cards. This part of the process is always exciting—seeing how the individual pieces come together to create something entirely new.
The results were fantastic, with each card showcasing its own unique slice of the doodle’s intricate patterns and vibrant colors.
I have a tutorial for this card; you can purchase it right here or click the button below. I provided the tutorial for free to my customers who used the Host Code to make a purchase from my online stamping supply store! Woohoo!
To share this journey from doodle to card, I also created a YouTube Shorts video that captures the entire process. It’s a quick and inspiring look at how a single sheet of cardstock can become a set of beautiful, handmade cards.
If you’re curious about how to take a simple idea and turn it into a versatile crafting project, I hope you’ll check it out. This project was such a joy to create, and I hope it inspires you to try your own One Sheet Wonder adventure!
Happy stamping!
