WOW Card You Can Make Again and Again
There is just something so satisfying about a card that makes people stop and say, “Wait… how did you do that?” and this double gatefold fun fold does exactly that while still being surprisingly simple to create.

I used the soon-to-be-released Peaceful Pine cardstock for the base along with the absolutely gorgeous Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper, and the combination is just rich and elegant. What makes this design extra fun is that it opens in two directions, creating that wow factor without adding any complicated steps.

Once you’ve made one, you’ll find it’s incredibly easy to recreate with whatever cardstock, patterned paper, and stamps you already have in your crafting space. This is one of those layouts that quickly becomes a go-to because it takes the guesswork out of designing and lets you focus on the fun part—choosing your colors and patterns.
What I love most about this layout is how versatile it is. I created a second version using Crushed Curry with Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper and Misty Moonlight accents, which gives it a bright and cheerful feel, and a third version using Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper paired with Hydrangea Hue and Crumb Cake for a softer, more elegant look.

Each card feels completely different even though the structure is exactly the same. It really shows how powerful a good layout can be when you want to create multiple cards without starting from scratch each time. I also shared a tip in the video about using a light spritz of water when working with detailed dies and the Impressions Mat to get beautiful, crisp results—such a simple step that makes a big difference.

I’ve created a step-by-step PDF tutorial for you with all the measurements, supplies, and instructions so you can easily recreate this card at home and make it your own with whatever you have on hand.

I’m entering into the A Cut Above April challenge, Beautiful Blossoms Anything Floral Goes #39 challenge, Crafter’s Cafe #328 Fancy Folds Challenge, and Girlz Creative Crafts #66 challenge.

I hope this project inspires you to try a fun fold if you haven’t in a while, or to revisit one with a fresh perspective. These are the kinds of cards that not only look impressive but also bring so much joy in the creating and the giving. I’d love to hear which version you like best or what papers you would use for your own take on this design!
