There’s nothing more satisfying than taking just a little bit of patterned paper and stretching it into a whole stack of handmade cards. Today’s project is one of my favorites because it’s simple, creative, and oh-so-doable no matter what kind of crafter you are. I call it a Double One Sheet Wonder because instead of working with just one piece of paper, I’m using two sheets of 6″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The DSP I chose is from the Autumn Toile collection. Since both papers are double-sided, that means I have four different coordinating prints to play with. Large patterns, small patterns, subtle prints, bold prints—it’s all mix and match, which makes the results so much fun.
The best part about this Double One Sheet Wonder is how quickly it comes together. My free downloadable PDF tutorial shows exactly how to cut the DSP, so you don’t need to jot down a single measurement while you’re watching the video. You’ll see how I take those two sheets of paper, cut them into neat little stacks, and then turn them into eleven different cards. Some of the designs are quick and classic, while others include a fun fold or a layered look that really shows off the beautiful prints.
As always, I’ve added in some finishing touches to make the cards extra special. A little matting here, a sweet inside panel there, and a bit of Baker’s Twine or Linen Thread to tie it all together. I love how Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Pecan Pie inks bring out the cozy autumn feeling, and the Amber Autumn stamp set was the perfect choice for greetings and accents.
I hope you’ll give this Double One Sheet Wonder a try and see just how many possibilities you can create with the papers you already have at home. Don’t let that DSP sit on the shelf—cut it up, mix it up, and make it into something beautiful. You can watch the full tutorial in my premiere video, and don’t forget to head to the link in the description to grab your free PDF so you can craft along with me.
I CASEd this project from my team leader, J. Bolhuis. If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I would love to be your creative coach and help inspire your cardmaking journey. I provide tutorials and make and takes for my customers/team members every week. I also have a free downloadable PDF tutorial for these cards linked below, just for you:
I have a video showing how to cut these papers so you, too, can create these cards. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, leave a comment to let me know what you think, and most of all, enjoy the process of creating.
After all, when you can turn two half sheets of 12 x 12 DSP into eleven cards, the possibilities are endless.
