Ever feel like crafting is a battle between ambition and the clock? Well, let me introduce you to the card that saved the day for me—and my sanity! It’s sweet, simple, and came together in about five minutes flat. That’s right, just enough time for a good cup of hot chocolate or the dog to thoroughly investigate a squirrel sighting (Milo, I’m looking at you).
This beauty starts with Garden Green cardstock, a shade so rich it practically oozes holiday charm. On top of that, I layered three strips of Designer Series Paper from the A Little Bit Festive pack. These strips did all the heavy lifting, bringing instant texture and pattern without a fuss.
The pièce de résistance? A greeting of “Peace & Joy” stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on one of the ephemera pieces from the same pack using the Iconic Imagery stamp set. Ephemera is my crafting sidekick lately—always ready to make me look like I’ve got my life together. I mounted it on a square of Gold Foil (because holiday cards need a little bling, right?) and popped it up with Dimensionals. For even more dimensional magic, I adhered the Gold Foil square to the card front the same way.
Inside, the card keeps the fun going. A layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock mats some Basic White, adding a playful surprise to whoever opens it.
This card is a textbook example of a SIP (Stamps, Ink, and Paper) card—a fun reminder that simple can be stunning. It’s quick, festive, and makes me look far more organized than I actually am. I might just whip up a dozen more before dinner… or at least before Milo’s next squirrel patrol.
I have a quick video here from my YouTube Channel. While you’re there, please be sure to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. Your support would be amazing and very appreciated!
