Today’s card just fills my creative cup. It’s everything I hoped it would be when I sat down at my craft table with zero interest in creating anything “fall-Thanksgiving” or “Christmasy.” I needed something peaceful, clean, and beautifully simple. So I reached for one of my brand-new-to-me bundles, Friendly Foliage, and paired it with the soft tones of the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper. The combination turned out to be exactly what my heart wanted today.

I began with a Basic Beige card base and added a panel of the light geometric pattern from the Autumn Toile DSP, cut slightly smaller and popped up on dimensionals for subtle lift and presence. The gentle patterning of this DSP is just dreamy—it creates texture without ever competing for attention. From there, I stamped the framed foliage image on Basic White cardstock using Mossy Meadow ink and die cut it with the coordinating dies.

A matching Mossy Meadow sentiment, “Thinking of You,” sits perfectly on a Basic White strip framed with Mossy Meadow cardstock. That sentiment stretches across the DSP panel just above the bottom of the framed foliage, tying everything together beautifully.

After adhering the foliage frame to the right-hand side with a bit of Multipurpose Glue, I added a White Baker’s Twine bow. I made it slightly larger than usual, but not too loopy, and tucked it under the sentiment with a Glue Dot, leaning just left of center.

The effect is soft and sweet, adding a light and airy finish to the whole design. Inside the card, a crisp Basic White panel is matted with Mossy Meadow, bringing the coordination full circle.

I’m so pleased with how this card turned out. It’s calm. It’s classic. It’s exactly what I needed to create today. I also have a YouTube Shorts video showing the process in action below.
And a free downloadable PDF tutorial if you’d like to make one of your own. Sometimes a simple, clean project is what brings us back to that peaceful place where creativity flows.
Since I loved this one so much, I’m entering it into a few challenges this week: the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for November, Just Add Ink Challenge #774 with the theme of Stencils & Dies, and Cut It Up Challenge #343 where the theme is Favorite Color. Green is one of my favorites, and this card wears it proudly.

I hope this card inspires you to create something soothing and soulful today too.

In the last challenge with Cut it Up, I made the top three!! Woohoo!! Such a fun challenge – hope you join in one!
