When you were a little kid, did you ever watercolor?
Sometimes you’ve got to let the inner kiddie out to play.
You can do that with this card and some watercolor techniques.
This card features the Awash with Flowers
two-step stamp set and the Thank You Kindly stamp set, along with a great watercoloring technique called watercolor resist.
The timeless colors and floral designs are perfect
for occasions all year long.
All I did was get my Aqua Painters loaded and
began to enjoy the easy fun and beauty of watercoloring.
- Here’s the technique – Watercolor Resist – Image is stamped with StazOn
then a focus area or highlights are colored with white crayon or a wax
crayon. When the image is watercolored,
the areas with the crayon wax resist the watercoloring and remain the
background color.
Easy! I used the Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Old Olive card stocks, Watercolor paper, and Old Olive ribbon, along with Night of Navy ink.
Don’t bother “resisting” this technique. Give it a try — you’ll be amazed at how easy it is and how great it looks! Thanks for stopping by ~~ Happy Stampin’ and Scrappin’!
