Today, I’m excited to share a fun and interactive card design featuring the Beautiful Gallery DSP, the Beautiful Motifs stamp set, and the Gallery Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies. This pop-up card has a fun twist that will surely impress anyone who receives it!

To start, I cut the pop-up pieces from Lost Lagoon cardstock.

I scored and adhered Tear-N-Tape to the ends of the pieces for secure placement.

The base of the card was created by cutting a 5-1/2 x 6-3/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, scoring it, and folding it into a Z-fold style.

Once that was done, I adhered Mossy Meadow and DSP panels to the inside base of the card.

To create more space for a sentiment (since there’s no room on the inside), I fashioned a “second” card using Lost Lagoon cardstock, which was adhered to the back of the Z-fold base.

I then added a panel of Basic White and a strip of DSP along the side for some extra decoration. The final two pieces of the front were finished off with DSP as well.

Now for the fun pop-up feature! I adhered the pop-up panels to the Z-fold sections and attached them to each other for the mechanism. These panels were then decorated with stamped images in Early Espresso ink, adding more dimension to the design. The sentiment, “Thank you for everything,” was stamped on a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock, which was banner-cut on the right side and adhered to the larger pop-up section. To finish it off, I attached a double strand bow of Linen Thread to the left-most Z-fold panel.

For variety, I also made a few other versions of this card using different papers and stamps. One version used Boho Vibes DSP and the Good Times Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, paired with Cloud Cover and Secret Sea cardstocks and inks, with the sentiment “Just a Note.”

I’ve entered this fun card in the As You See It challenge #348 where the theme is “Spots or Stripes” – which is perfect for this fun spotted card!

Another version was created using Florals in Bloom DSP, Garden Green, and Granny Apple Green cardstocks, with the “Thinking of You” sentiment stamped in Garden Green ink and more Good Times Ephemera.

Below I’ve shared the measurements so you can easily recreate this pop-up card at home.
- Measurements (all in inches) –
- Card Base – 5-1/2 x 6-3/4, scored at 1-1/4 and 2-1/2 with 6-3/4 part at the top of the board
- Pop-Up Pieces – 4 x 4-1/4, score at 1, 2-7/8 and the last end should have a score that is 3/8 in size (perfect for the Tear-N-Tape); 3 x 3-1/4, score at 3/4, 2-1/8, and the last end should have a score that is 3/8 in size (perfect for the Tear-N-Tape)
- 2nd card piece (the Twist) – 5-3/4 x 4-1/8, score at 3/8 (for Tear-N-Tape) with 5-3/4 part at the top of the board
- inside 2nd card piece – 3-3/4 x 5 (I used Basic White for easy writing to recipient); 1/2 x 5 strip of DSP along side
- Decoration for card front – DSP cut at 1 x 5-1/4 (2 pieces) and 3-3/4 x 5; coordinating cardstock mat – 4 x 5-1/4
- To decorate the pop-up pieces – cardstock or DSP cut to 1-5/8 x 3-3/4 and 1-1/8 x 2-3/4
- scraps for die cuts or punching as desired to further decorate the card
My final version used the Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack, paired with Timid Tiger and Basic White cardstocks and the sentiment “Celebrate” stamped in Berry Burst ink. I added some fun ephemera from the Something for Everyone Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to tie everything together.

This card layout is so unique, and the pop-up feature adds such an exciting touch. I can’t wait to see what you create with it! I’ve put together a video tutorial showcasing how to make the card.
If you’re looking for a fun, different way to surprise your card recipients, this pop-up card layout is the perfect choice. Happy crafting!
