Easy and Fun – Cards That’ll Make You Smile!
Today’s cards are just pure joy — Easy and Fun Pull-Out Pocket Cards! They’re the kind of project that makes you grin while you’re creating and gives you that extra “wow” factor when you slide out the little surprise inside. I had such a blast making these and can’t wait to show you how simple they are to recreate.
The first card I’m sharing in my video features the Jar of Joy stamp set, coordinating Sweet Jar Builder Punch, and the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). The bright red, blue, and green plaid DSP pops beautifully against the Thick Basic White card base, and the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder adds such sweet texture. I built a pocket on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals — just along the bottom and sides — leaving the top open to slide in a mini pull-out card.
On the embossed pocket, I added a layered sentiment that reads “Sending a Jar Full of Cheer” — stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and banner-cut for a clean finish. The snowmen tucked into those cute little jars each have a jaunty red scarf and a dash of shimmer from Wink of Stella. Their lids are shaded with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, giving just the right touch of shine.
When you pull out the mini card, there’s another pop of color with Secret Sea, Real Red, and Basic White layers — plus that glimmering snowy scene that ties everything together. I even dressed up the envelope flap with matching DSP for the ultimate coordinated look.
The next card is bright, modern, and a little bit sassy! I used the Feathered Fun stamp set with inks in Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, and Lemon Lime Twist — such a happy color combo! The Celebratory Sips DSP in Timid Tiger brought the perfect playful background. The sentiment “Hello” from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set is stamped three times in Lemon Lime Twist across the top for a clean yet energetic look.
This pocket card pulls out from the left instead of the bottom, which adds a unique twist. And I stamped splatters from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist ink all over the Basic White card base for a bit of fun and whimsy. I’m entering this card into two online challenges — CAS on Friday #320, where the theme is Feathers, and Color Throwdown #843, which features those same fun shades of lime, pink, and orange. I love the coordinating envelope with the bright pop of Timid Tiger on the flap, too!
My third version highlights the Label Me Grateful stamp set with its coordinating dies. The Celebratory Sips DSP shines again — this time using the Old Olive stripes and Cloud Cover stars for a fresh, coordinated mix.
The mini pull-out is layered in Lemon Lime Twist, perfectly framing the die-cut sentiment, while Blackberry Bliss flowers and faceted gems bring sparkle and depth to the design. It’s the kind of card that feels polished but still wonderfully easy to make. Again, the envelope was pulled into the fun with a treatment of DSP on the flap so that everything ties together beautifully!
