A Fun Interactive Card

I had so much fun creating today’s card, and I honestly can’t stop pulling it open and closed—it makes me smile every single time. When you pull the card apart, a hidden sentiment pops up in the most delightful way… and when you push it back together, it snaps right back into place. It’s one of those cards that feels like a tiny celebration in your hands.

If you love fun folds, you know how important it is to really burnish those score lines—and this card is no exception. Crisp folds make all the difference, especially when there’s movement involved. The pop-up sentiment itself is what really steals the show. I initially tried liquid glue here, but Tear & Tape ended up being the real hero for a strong, lasting hold.

Holding the back accordion fold in the left hand and the front in the right, a gentle pull makes the sentiment pop up quickly and smoothly. Push the card back together, and everything tucks neatly inside again. It’s playful, unexpected, and absolutely perfect for birthdays.

This interactive beauty is a design I CASEd from Connie Stewart. I gave it my own little twist, but the magic is very much the same. I’m so excited to share this project with you. I’ve created a YouTube Shorts video so you can see the pop-up action in motion below
