Let’s bust a crafty myth today, shall we? There’s a common misconception that creating a handmade card takes a ton of time—especially when it includes stamping, coloring, and layering. But I’m here to prove that you can make something absolutely beautiful in less than 10 minutes… yes, even if you color some of your images!

This card came together so quickly and easily, and I loved every minute of the process. I started with the lovely Spotlight on Nature dies and stamp set. One of the smaller circle dies was the perfect size for my sentiment, which I cut from Basic Beige cardstock. I then stamped the large floral image and the sweet little butterfly from the same stamp set onto a panel of Basic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The sentiment, a simple and heartfelt “Thanks,” was stamped onto the Basic Beige circle.

Then came the fun part—coloring! I reached for my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers in both light and dark Highland Heather for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the stems and leaves. The butterfly got a soft touch of the Highland Heather as well.

To build the card, I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added a large panel of Wild Wheat from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP) collection. That paper is just stunning and creates such a rich, earthy background. I popped the stamped panel up with Dimensionals to give it that nice bit of lift and presence. A little banner of Fresh Freesia cardstock was added near the base of the floral image and gave just the right contrast and interest.

To finish it off, I added the die-cut sentiment piece with Dimensionals, tucking the bottom edge over the Fresh Freesia banner. A few white sequins from the Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio added just the right amount of shimmer and polish. And of course, I didn’t forget the inside—a panel of Basic White matted with Fresh Freesia cardstock brings that same softness and color harmony throughout the entire card.

I also filmed a video walking you through the steps, so you can see just how quickly and simply this came together. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need hours to make something beautiful. A few thoughtful products, a touch of color, and a little creative joy are all it takes. You can watch the video and see the full card in action below. I hope it inspires you to make something quick and lovely today!
