Card-on-a-Card — 3 Beautiful Versions!
Do you ever have those moments where you want to send a card that looks extra special, but you just don’t have much time to spare? This week’s Premiere video is exactly what you need! I’m sharing one of my favorite layouts — a quick and easy fun fold that’s basically a card on a card. It’s simple, adaptable, and works beautifully with whatever papers, stamps, and inks you happen to love most right now.

I started with the Perennial Lavender DSP because I was in a purply mood and it paired perfectly with Shaded Spruce. I don’t grab Shaded Spruce very often, but oh my goodness, it’s so rich and elegant! The base layer of DSP sets the tone while the smaller mini card sits right on top — a sweet little surprise fold that gives you extra space inside for your handwritten message. This version feels fresh, floral, and full of gratitude with the sentiment “So Grateful for That Heart of Yours” from the Label Me Grateful stamp set.

For the next variation, I wanted something cozy and earthy. I reached for the Gathering Together Specialty DSP Pack with its rustic plaids and warm Cajun Craze and Early Espresso tones. The design reminds me of crisp fall afternoons and mugs of coffee in hand. The focal point features the Gathering Moments sentiment “Many Thanks” — one that I snipped apart a few weeks ago to make it more versatile! I tucked in a few potted plants from Rustic Centerpiece, colored them with Stampin’ Blends, and finished it off with a double Linen Thread bow for just the right bit of homespun texture.

And then there’s the final version — calm, crisp, and wintry. The Peaceful Garden DSP shines here with beautiful blues set against a Cloud Cover card base. I extended the mini card on this one to give it a little extra drama. Three shimmery snowflakes from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper dance across the front die cut from the Festive Friends die cuts, each little snowflake finished with a sparkling Rhinestone Jewel. The “Thank You” sentiment, inked up in Secret Sea, adds a peaceful touch that’s perfect for winter gifting or simple appreciation.

Each of these designs proves just how versatile one layout can be. Whether you’re in the mood for something floral and elegant, cozy and rustic, or frosty and sparkling, this fun fold can handle it all. It’s one of those cards that you’ll find yourself making again and again because it’s quick, easy, and always impressive.

I love all three cards, Julia, and that Perennial Lavender card is a great use of the Paper Players colors! Glad we could inspire you to pull out Shaded Spruce, it is such a lovely green.
