Sailing into Creativity

I’m so excited to share an amazing new offering from Stampin’ Up! – a downloadable PDF class that makes crafting easier and more accessible. The first class features the beautiful Sunrise Sailing stamp set, coordinating dies, and the gorgeous hybrid embossing folder. I couldn’t wait to dive in and give it a try!

For my first card, I followed Stampin’ Up!’s instructions step by step, and let me tell you, it turned out stunning! The card base is Fresh Freesia, which sets the perfect tone for the peaceful water scene. The embossed panel, made using the hybrid embossing folder, was inked up with Balmy Blue, Pretty in Pink, and Fresh Freesia to give it that soft, dreamy look of a sunrise over calm waters. I love how the ink brings the embossing to life, creating a beautiful contrast against the crisp, white panel.

The sailboat was stamped in Misty Moonlight on Basic White, along with the “Congratulations” sentiment. A little banner treatment for the sentiment, and then both the sailboat and sentiment were popped up with dimensionals to give the card a bit of dimension. I just love the way it turned out, so peaceful and serene!

But you know me – I couldn’t leave it there. I had to make a few variations! I switched things up by creating a second card with a Balmy Blue base, adding a sentiment from the Pattern of Friendship stamp set that reads, “Friends are the Family You Choose for Yourself.”

I also made a third version using a Misty Moonlight base, with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set. These cards are perfect for both men and women, making them versatile for all kinds of occasions!

I absolutely adore this new downloadable class idea from Stampin’ Up!, and I’m so glad they’re sharing these directions with us to use and pass along. It’s such a fun way to spread creativity and help others discover new crafting techniques. I’ve included the PDF of this class in my June 2, 2025, newsletter for all those who’ve signed up to receive it. I send out the newsletter every other week – so it’s not too often, and it includes tips, tricks, color and project ideas for you to enjoy. And when you sign up, I’ll send you a FREE PDF about 12 ways to use Markers to Step Up Your Cards and Projects right away!

And for those of you who prefer a visual, I’ve also put together a short video showing exactly how to create this card. I can’t wait to see how you put your spin on this beautiful design!

Happy crafting!
