Looking for a creative and festive way to spread holiday cheer? These adorable Santa Pants treat packages are just the thing! They are bright, cheery, and bursting with holiday spirit. Whether you’re crafting for co-workers, friends, or family, these little packages will bring a smile to anyone’s face. The best part? They’re versatile! With a few adjustments, you could transform them into Leprechaun pants for St. Patrick’s Day or even other whimsical designs for any occasion.
To start, I used 5-1/2″ x 2-1/8″ Poppy Parade cardstock for the pants, paired with Basic Black cardstock and Silver Foil for the belt and buckle. Gold Foil would also be a stunning alternative for the buckle. The magic begins by having the 5-1/2″ side of the Poppy Parade cardstock at the top of the paper trimmer and scoring at 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″, 4″ and 5″.
After scoring these line, the piece is turned once and scored at 3/4″ with the 2-1/8″ at the top of the paper trimmer.
Carefully cut the tabs, mitering the smaller ones to ensure the box fits together snugly and securely. These details make all the difference in creating a polished look.
Once the box is folded along the score lines, strong adhesive is applied to the smallest tab of the box on the outside and to one of the larger bottom tabs on the inside. With the paper backing removed from the adhesive strip on the smallest tab, the box is shaped and secured in place. Then, moving on to the bottom, remove the adhesive backing on the larger tab to create a sturdy base.
With the box structure complete, add the belt and suspenders! The belt, made from Basic Black cardstock, adds the iconic Santa charm, while the Silver Foil buckle ties the look together perfectly. The suspenders are the perfect finishing touch, giving the treat package its delightful Santa Pants appearance.
These treat packages are perfect for gifting small surprises, from candies to tiny trinkets and candies. They’re sure to delight anyone lucky enough to receive one.

- Poppy Parade – 5-1/2 x 2-1/8, score at 1-1/2, 2-1/2, 4, and 5 on 5-1/2 edge and 3/4 on 2-1/8 edge
- Basic Black – Belt: 1/2 x 5; inside of belt buckle: 1/2 x 1/2; Suspenders: cut two 3/8 x 4-1/4
- Silver Foil (or gold) – for Buckle: 3/4 x 3/4
