Splendid Autumn

I love a clean and simple card – and a card that is simple to make is generally my go-to whether I’m crafting in a pinch or have oodles of time.

Today, I crafted this sweet card using the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.

All the elements for this card really came together beautifully. From the DSP, to the sweet layout, and then the Old Olive stamped image from the Autumn to Remember Photopolymer stamp set, and Stylish Shapes stitched die cut! Love this!!

And the challenge from The Paper Players PP707 was perfect for this card today. It’s so much fun that it’s any plant or animal – and I’ve got some beautiful plants in this DSP, along with the sweet stamped leaf – so it’s got to get entered in this challenge!

Here’s the sketch inspiration I used, along with the measurements (all in inches):

  • Card Base (Thick Basic White) – 11 x 4-1/4
  • DSP (Splendid Autumn) – 3 strips of 3-¾ x 1-½
  • Die cut (Stylish Shapes) – third from largest
  • Inside, a strip of 1/2″ x 5-1/4″ of the DSP

I also have a video about creating this card right here:

It doesn’t get easier than this. Let me know if you give this layout a try! I’d love to see what you create.

Hope you get inky today,

  1. The stamped leaf is just a gorgeous central image. The simple act of splitting the DSP into three panels really adds extra interest: nice design. Thanks for joining in our CAS Theme challenge at The Paper Players.

  2. Beautiful! This is such a great layout, and really shows off this lovely paper. The leaf is so perfectly colored, and makes a great focal point. Thank for playing with The Paper Players this week!
