Today, I’m sharing a delightful little project that highlights the stunning Spotlight on Nature stamp set along with its coordinating dies. This card is a testament to the beauty of simplicity, and I’m pretty thrilled with how it turned out—clean, simple, and oh-so-elegant.
Let’s dive into the crafty details, shall we?
Starting with a Basic White card base, I went for a Clean and Simple (CAS) style. Taking a scrap piece of Basic White and using one of the dies from the Spotlight on Nature set, I had what I wanted to use as a focal point. With the help of a trusty Blending Brush and a dash of Balmy Blue, I added a subtle background to the die-cut piece.
Next, I stamped the charming flowers with stems image onto the base using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then came the fun part: figuring out where to place the die-cut element to achieve that perfect Spotlight technique effect. Once I had it just right, I stamped the flowers and stems onto the die cut and colored them in with Stampin’ Blends, bringing those blooms to life!
But wait, there’s more! I couldn’t resist adding a whimsical butterfly. After stamping and coloring the butterfly, I adhered the die cut to the base with dimensionals for a bit of pop. The butterfly got a touch of glue adhesive, and I curled its edges slightly to give it some extra dimension—because who doesn’t love a butterfly with a little flair?
The finishing touch was a heartfelt sentiment from the Irresistible Blooms set: “I couldn’t be happier to have you as my friend,” stamped in Memento ink right below the die-cut element. It’s the perfect message to send a smile through the mail.
