To Make Again and Again
Whew! Oh my goodness—what a day it has been over here! 😅 But you know what? There is nothing like a little crafty time to bring everything back into balance, and I am so excited for what we’re creating together.
For me, it’s a Paper Party Live day, and I have two fabulous cards to share with you that we’ll be making together. One of them is a fun fold (you know I love those!), and the other is such a great way to use up those beautiful scraps of Designer Series Paper that we all tend to hold onto because they’re just too pretty to cut into.
The first card came together so easily, and I absolutely love how it turned out. I started with a Misty Moonlight card base and layered on a splattered Basic White panel for a little extra texture. Then came the fun part—tearing strips of the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper and layering them across the panel.
There is something about those torn edges that adds such a soft, organic feel to the card. The mix of patterns and varying strip widths really brings it to life, and the best part is that you can switch out the papers and create a completely different look every single time. A little ribbon detail, a sweet sentiment, and a few embellishments finish it off beautifully and make it look like you spent way more time on it than you actually did.
The second card is such a fun one and just a little bit different in the best way. It starts with a simple fold that adds interest without being complicated at all. It’s one of those designs that looks impressive but is totally doable, which makes it a favorite in my book. I layered more of that gorgeous Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper and added a stamped and die cut sentiment from the Filled With Sweetness stamp set. The ribbon and those adorable strawberry embellishments add the perfect finishing touch and bring everything together into such a sweet and cheerful card that would work for so many occasions.
