I’m so excited to share this quick and easy project with you! In the July 24, 2025, Paper Party Live on YouTube, it’s all about creating a sweet little 3-D gift box using beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’ve grabbed some Perennial Lavender DSP. This fun and simple box is just the right size for a small gift or treat and is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.
To start, I cut a sheet of DSP to 11 x 4 inches, then scored it at 3, 4, 8, and 9 inches along the 11-inch side. After turning the paper a quarter turn, I scored it at 1 inch. Then it’s scored 1 inch on the opposite side. Next, I folded on all the score lines and cut up to the 1-inch score line at the 3, 4, 8, and 9-inch marks. With a little adhesive on the tabs, I formed the box and was ready for some embellishment!
For the sentiment, I used the Peace on Earth stamp set (which I got early as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator – yay!) and stamped “Big Hugs for a Good Friend” in Pretty Peacock ink. To finish off the box, I wrapped lots of Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon – use whatever ribbon that coordinates that you have on hand (I used about 30 inches of mine) – around the box and tucked the sentiment underneath the ribbon, securing it nicely on the box. This little creation ended up measuring 1 x 4 x 2 inches—perfect for small gifts and such a delightful project to make!

- Coordinating cardstock (for card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″), (for sentiment – 4-1/4″ x 3/4″)
- a Neutral cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″ and 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
- Basic White (embossed with whatever you’d like that goes with your papers – 2-1/2″ x 4″)
- Inks and embellishments that coordinate with whatever you’ve chosen.
