Sweet Little Treats

If you’re looking for a quick, adorable project that delivers instant joy, today’s candy holder is just the thing! I made these sweet treat holders to fit Ghirardelli chocolates, and let’s just say my husband has been waiting not-so-patiently for me to finish filming so he could finally get the chocolates. He’ll be thrilled—they’re officially up for grabs now that the video is done!

This project starts with a cheerful plaid Designer Series Paper from the Traditions of Christmas pack. It’s cut, scored, and folded into a petite candy holder that’s as practical as it is precious. A little half-circle notch at the top makes it easy to grab the chocolate inside, and a dab of Tear & Tape ensures it all holds together perfectly. I decorated the front with a Basic White circle, layered with die-cut holly leaves and berries from Christmas Greenery. A touch of Old Olive ink on the leaves adds realistic depth, and a few Granny Apple Green sequins bring the perfect festive sparkle.

Once the first version was complete, I couldn’t stop there! I created another holder with the Country Woods DSP, featuring the soft gray wood grain pattern paired with shimmering Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper and Misty Moonlight trees from Festive Friends. The combination gives a cozy, wintery feel—perfect for gifting.

And because I love experimenting, my third design swaps DSP for cardstock. The base is Pool Party, accented with a piece of dotted North Pole Delivery DSP, a Real Red circle, and the most charming little sweater-wearing dog from the precut images in that same pack. A few Pool Party sequins were the finishing touch.

These treat holders are such fun to make and even more fun to give! They’re perfect as desk surprises, stocking stuffers, or even small party favors. You can catch my full YouTube video to see how the first one comes together and get inspiration from the other designs.

Plus, I’ve got a downloadable PDF tutorial waiting for you so you can make your own sweet little holders in no time.

Get ready to make someone’s day a little sweeter—one Ghirardelli at a time!
