The Cutest Little Fun Fold Card

Today, I’m thrilled to share a fun fold card project using the stunning Pretty Peacock cardstock paired with the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP).

This design brings out the elegance of the colors while adding an interactive twist that makes opening the card a delightful surprise.

After preparing the cardstock, cut to 4-1/4″ x 7-1/2″ score lines were added at 2-1/2″ and 5″ as shown below:

Then an additional diagonal score was added on the outer sections in the same direction as shown:

The scores are burnished tightly, giving the card a crisp, polished look. Once finished, these folds create an eye-catching effect that looks intricate yet is straightforward to assemble. DSP pieces are cut to fit perfectly within the sections, adding vibrant color and style.

On the front of the card I made in the video, I used the “Hooray for Surprises” stamp set, adding a fun sentiment to enhance the festive feel. For other versions, I’ve experimented with Ephemera, the “Labeled With Love,” and “Heartfelt Hexagon” stamp sets, which offer unique ways to bring personality and variety to each card.

The inside includes a Basic White panel, providing a space for a personal message to make this fun fold design all the more special.

This adorable card is sized just right to fit comfortably in an envelope, making it a joy to give and receive. Can’t wait to see how others will customize this design to make it their own!

Measurements (in inches):

  • Base – 4-1/4 x 7-1/2
  • DSP (cut 2) 4 x 2-1/4
  • Basic White (for inside) 4 x 2-1/4
  • scrap for die cutting or punching for outside sentiment on front of card (I used Basic White)
