I’m excited to share a lovely fall-inspired gatefold card that was CASEd from a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Su Mohr. The base is made with Cajun Craze cardstock, folded into a gatefold design that opens like doors.
Each “door” is decorated with layered pieces of Early Espresso and more Cajun Craze, topped with the rich, seasonal tones of the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper.
To add a special touch, I die-cut some beautiful leaves using the Autumn Leaves dies and arranged them on the doors. The sentiment, “With a Grateful Heart To Have You as a Friend,” brings a heartfelt message to the card, making it perfect for sending to a cherished friend.
For a little bit of sparkle, I added Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, which act as the “hinges” on the card’s doors. These sequins are the finishing touch, bringing the whole design together.
This card is not only fun to make, but it’s also quick and easy to put together, making it ideal for when you need a thoughtful, handmade project in a pinch.
Measurements (in inches):
- Base – 11 x 4-1/4, scored at 2-3/4 on each end
- Door Layers – bottom layer is 5-1/8 x 1-7/8; 2nd layer is 5 x 1-3/4; top layer (DSP) 4-3/4 x 1-1/2
- Inside – coordinating bottom layer 5-1/8 x 3-7/8; Basic White top layer 5 x 3-3/4
