I’m excited to share a new card design with you today that combines elegance with a touch of fun. This project features lovely Basic Beige Cardstock, some beautiful embossing, and a pop of color with Fresh Freesia and Old Olive.
With a base of Basic Beige Cardstock, cut to the usual size and folded in half, this neutral background sets the stage for the other elements to shine. Dry embossing another piece of Basic Beige Cardstock using the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder. This folder adds such a cozy texture to the card, giving it a handmade, vintage feel.
To add a touch of elegance, I wrapped some Silver Sheer Ribbon around the embossed cardstock and tied it into a neat knot. The ribbon adds a bit of shimmer and sophistication to the design.
For the label, the Labeled With Love Punch was used to either punch out or die-cut a piece from Basic White Cardstock. I stamped the frame from the stamp set in Basic Beige ink, maintaining the elegant, monochromatic theme. The flowers were stamped in Fresh Freesia, and Old Olive ink was for the leaves. These colors add a refreshing contrast to the neutral base, making the card more lively and vibrant. The stamped element was then adhered to the card base with Dimensionals to give some height and dimension.
The sentiment was created using a piece of Basic White Cardstock, cut to 2” x ½”. I stamped it in Old Olive and trimmed the ends at an angle for a stylish look. The sentiment was then adhered to the card with Dimensionals, ensuring it stood out nicely.
To finish off the card, I added some Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots for a bit of sparkle. These dots are like the cherry on top, adding just the right amount of bling to our elegant card.
